The United Nations Relief Fund was founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein to help those fleeing Nazi persecution. Today, we are one of the world's largest humanitarian organisations, delivering lifesaving aid in more than 40 countries and 29 US cities.

We respond to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their futures.

The UNRF has been on the frontlines of every major humanitarian crisis since WWII — and operates within the global UN humanitarian system as an accredited partner organisation with Special Consultative Status at ECOSOC.
